Sectors of Chaplaincy

Chaplaincy Derbyshire supports staff and volunteers from offices and GP surgeries to farms and through community projects. Wherever you are based, if there are people connected to Derbyshire, we can offer support.

The benefits to having a chaplain.

Life can bring unexpected challenges. Our chaplains provide a confidential, pastoral, listening service with spiritual care. It is a free service for anyone experiencing grief, stress, anxiety, struggling with illness, making difficult decisions or wanting someone to talk to. The chaplain will listen, without judgement, respecting the individual’s beliefs and experience.

How to start chaplaincy in your place of work

To begin a chaplaincy service in your organisation, simply get in touch. Chaplaincy Derbyshire will chat through the process as each organisation will require a different approach and we will talk through timeframes and realistic expectations.

One off support

There may be significant events that happen to members of your team and the support of a chaplaincy team would be beneficial. In such cases, contact our office and we will use our local chaplaincy hubs to offer short term support.

Not always a perfect fit

We appreciate that chaplaincy is relational. Whilst chaplains are equipped and trained, they might not always be the best fit. We have a Central Support hub that will be on hand to talk through your needs and offer advice.
